Through this, the 3.8 billion monthly active users of the three apps will be able to chat with each other even if they’re all on different platforms. It’s also important to note that all three applications will remain stand-alone. The app themselves will remain independent, except for the messaging service. The project, though still under development, will reportedly improve security and create an iMessage-like experience.
